Rutledge Wood is an American auto racing analyst and television host best known for co-hosting the U.S. version of Top Gear on the History Channel. While his career has heavily focused on NASCAR and other forms of American motorsports, he does have a connection to Formula 1. In 2014, NBC Sports announced that Wood would be joining their team as a motorsports specialty reporter, with his assignments including coverage of Formula 1, IndyCar, and NASCAR, giving him a platform to report on and discuss F1. He is also the host of several other programs, including Netflix’s Hyperdrive and NBC’s Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge.
